How it works

Printed once. Updated whenever the destination changes.

A Tag Allusion QR code or NFC tag opens a compact short URL. The platform checks the random code, records the scan source, and sends the visitor to a hosted public page or an external link.

01

Create random codes

Generate QR, NFC, or combo tag codes using random non-sequential Base62 code bases. The printed code stays reserved forever.

02

Choose the destination

Point the tag at a hosted Tag Allusion page or an external website. Hosted pages can show branding, public details, files, and contact buttons.

03

Print or fit the tag

Download supplier CSVs, QR SVGs and proof sheets, or use Tag Allusion fulfilment workflows as physical tag supply develops.

04

Update later

Change public page content, files, contact details, external URLs or ownership without reprinting the physical tag.

Why dynamic matters

Static QR codes go stale. Managed tags stay useful.

Static QR codes usually lock you into one destination. Tag Allusion puts a management layer between the physical tag and the final destination, so tags can follow real-world changes like servicing, asset transfer, new documents, rebranding, or supplier changes.

  • Update destination after printing
  • Use QR and NFC source characters
  • Keep retired codes reserved
  • Track scans by source over time
  • Transfer assets when ownership or responsibility changes

Asset handover

A tag can outlive the first owner.

For many real-world assets, the label or NFC tag stays attached after a sale, rental, service contract change, property handover or customer move. Tag Allusion treats that transfer as a core workflow, not an afterthought.

  • Keep the same printed tag in use
  • Move management access later
  • Update public contact and support details
